Harrison Birtwistle: Notes from the End of a Garden

Commissioned by Sinifini (a website of Universal Music), this short film was shot over a few days at his house in Wiltshire with the composer Sir Harrison Birtwistle. Harry was in the process of composing a piano concerto and allowed me to film his work and life to create an intimate portrait of his creative process.

The giant squid was long thought to be the stuff of legend. It was only in the late 19th century that it was first officially recorded by scientists, after one leviathan squid washed up on a beach in New Zealand.

Over the years we’ve made content for a number of non-broadcasters, institutions and public bodies. We’ve designed interactive animations and computer games for the EU, shot content including interviews with Shami Chakrabarti and the Metropolitan Police to integrate into major two Science Museum exhibitions, and made short films for Kew Gardens, Guerilla Scientists and the WWF.
